Start narrow. New shops that carry 200 SKUs on day one almost always over-order. Three core tees — a heavyweight cotton, a ring-spun retail fit and a tri-blend — cover the overwhelming majority of orders and keep your inventory simple.
Weight matters more than brand. For DTF and HTV, look for 100% cotton or poly-cotton blends under 6.5 oz with a smooth, tight knit. Ring-spun and combed cotton give you the surface that makes colors pop.
Order in tier breaks. Our tiers step at 12, 48 and 120 pieces — buying exactly at the break is the cheapest way to lower your cost per unit. Never pay single-unit pricing for stock you plan to print.
Finally, always keep a reorder buffer. When a style drops below two weeks of sales, replenish immediately. Stockouts cost you the customer far more than the cost of carrying one extra case.
